Quality varies widely, depending on the content creator, but I've generally found it easy to find high-quality photos and videos on these sites. I've used Flickr frequently when I needed pictures for assignments or library programs - much of the content is under Creative Commons licenses, which is great. I personally use YouTube mostly for entertainment, and Flickr more as a utility when I need copyright-free pictures.
